'WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER ON THE LOOSE'

a Presentation by Mark Carwardine.

At the Arc Theatre Trowbridge.

Wednesday 31st October 2012 starting at 7.30 pm.

WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER ON THE LOOSE
Mark Carwardine is a zoologist, an award-winning writer and best-selling author, an outspoken conservationist, a TV and radio presenter... and a wildlife photographer. He presented the weekly half-hour programme 'Nature' on Radio 4 for many years, as well as the acclaimed BBC-TV series Last Chance to See... with Stephen Fry, and chaired the judging panel of the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition for seven years (2005-2011).  In this highly entertaining and informative lecture he will chat about his passion for wildlife photography and his efforts - some successful and some not - to photograph everything from great white sharks and Amazon river dolphins to albatrosses and Sumatran rhinos, using a motley collection of hides, vehicles, boats and planes. Inevitably, he'll also have a thing or two to say about the state of the world along the way.
