1. Using Nik Software Plug-ins and an Introduction to Colour Management
Peter Lovelock
An overview of the various Nik Plug-ins and demonstrations of their ease of use. The features of each plug-in will be explored, explaining the functions available and the spectacular effects that can be created will be demonstrated.
Colour Management for Photographers
Achieving a print that looks anything like the image on your screen has always been challenging. During this session, the background of colour workflow will be discussed and, how you can take control will be demonstrated.
Monitor profiling, printer profiling, Print viewing and also understand methods of controlling the colour right at capture will be covered.
2. Be Famous for 5 Minutes
Show some of your favourite images. Bring your prints, images for digital projection, or short AVs (max 5 minutes) to present informally. (DP images 1024X768 pixels tiff or jpeg format please)

Our annual Open exhibition will be 30 March - 30 April. Artists will be able to submit up to 5 pieces of work for selection, first prize £200 and 2 runners up prizes of £100 each. Dates for handing in and collection will be confirmed in the information pack which will be sent out to our mailing list (http://www.artcare.salisbury.nhs.uk/Documents/databaseform.doc to subscribe) and available from our website www.artcare.salisbury.nhs.uk in early February.

Eve Arnold HonFRPS had died

The legendary photo-journalist Eve Arnold HonFRPS passed away on 4 January 2012, aged 99 years. The American born Arnold had lived in the United Kingdom since the 1960s and had been recognised with an OBE in 2003 and an Honorary Fellowship of The Society in 1993.
