PAGB Digital Cup

This is for our whole club to enter. So we shall need at least 8 members offering their images for inclusion. We could use some images from the competition entries of the 26th November possibly. So this competition would be a good introduction to this sort of photography. But the exact image specification will not be known until after 1st November.

Club what do you think? Add comments here.

CHAIRMAN’S BULLETIN

CHAIRMAN’S BULLETIN
Dear member, this is just a brief note to let you know of significant changes to our club for the forthcoming season.

On Saturday 11th August, our treasurer received a letter from the management of the deaf centre, informing the club that we could no longer use the centre as a venue for our meetings.

As you can imagine, with just over three weeks to the start of the new season, and a fully booked programme, this caused the committee considerable concern.
However you will be relieved to know that following a committee meeting and some hard work by all concerned, we have managed to secure a new venue for 2007/2008.
From Sept 3rd our meetings will be held at Harnham Free Church ( location map on our site - see Venue). This is an excellent venue, providing a good level of accommodation and facilities (including a motorised projection screen!) We will have the venue to ourselves most meetings, with the exception of one Monday a month when an adjacent meeting room (well divided), will be used for a prayer meeting. This I am sure we can accept, when you realise that two other possible venues co-hosted Square dancing and Martial Arts in adjoining rooms!
I look forward to seeing you all at our new venue. There will undoubtedly be some teething problems, but please work with us to overcome these. I would also ask that you show consideration to the residents in the vicinity of the church (especially regarding parking).

If you have any queries please contact any of your committee, I look forward to seeing you all at our first meeting on 3rd Sept.

Tony Oliver, SCC Chairman 21.08.07
