We shall start about 6pm from this small car park.
The second map shows the tracks we will follow and it is an inter-active map. It has a map one side and a satellite view the other. You can drag and zoom the maps. The maps follow each other. Great fun.

AWARDS FOR MERIT IN AUDIO VISUAL PRODUCTION
The PAGB recently agreed the following definition which has received
wide support.
"An AV Production submitted for a PAGB Award for Photographic Merit
should predominantly consist of a sequence of still photographic images,
the majority of such images being the original work of the entrant,
together with a synchronised sound track.
The use of third party images, animated graphics, video clips or other
visual material, whilst not excluded, should be limited and appropriate
to the production.
Entrants must confirm that they have obtained legal consent for the
use of any visual or audio material used in the production other than
their own original content."
The AV Adjudication, scheduled for 20 October 2012, has adopted
this definition and will be conducted in accordance with previous
custom and practice. Now that this definition has been agreed the
PAGB Executive has asked the APM Sub Committee to review all
the procedures and practices for running Adjudications from 2013.
They intend to conduct a further wide ranging consultation leading,
hopefully, to specific proposals early in 2013..
If you are involved in Audio Visual as a current or potential producer
of AV, as a past or present judge or if you just have an interest in how
it may develop in the future and you would like to be involved in this
consultation please register an interest with rod@creative-camera.co.uk
All input is welcome although we cannot promise individual responses.

Viewfinders of Romsey CC - Hall Fundraising Evening

An Evening of International Photographic Audio Visual Sequences
-with Maureen Albright ARPS DPAGB
Our 2012 Hall Fundraising Event
Every year, the club holds a special event designed to raise funds for our regular venue – the Jubilee Hall in New Road, Timsbury – in appreciation of the excellent facilities we have available for club use. We like to seek out something special for this event, and this year the club has invited Maureen Albright ARPS DPAGB to come along and present the evening. Maureen is the organiser of the UK section of the annual International 321 Audio Visual competition.
The International 321 Audio Visual Competition has now been running for six years, and is a Super circuit event so entries are collected in by the organising country – France - from AV workers entering from all over the globe. Then all the entries are sent to the participating countries, where they are judged and viewed.
There are usually over 14 countries taking part in any year, and the participants since the event started have included France, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, South Africa, Canada, Chile, Argentina, Australia, Mauritius, Germany, Poland, Oman, Portugal and, of course, the UK.
In the UK, the competition is organised by the Royal Photographic Society Wessex Digital Imaging Group and in 2012 it will be judged with the top entries shown at a full day Gala on 24 June 2012 at Aldbourne in Wiltshire.
Maureen will bring the highlights of the last five years to a special show at Viewfinders of Romsey Camera Club on 1 May 2012. The audience will have the special opportunity to enjoy top class work from all over the world - some never seen anywhere else in the UK outside the 321 International. Each audio visual will be less than 3 minutes 21 seconds , hence the title of the competition. View humour, pathos, travel, storytelling ... and much more.
We hope that the event will be enjoyed by both photographers and other visitors and anyone interested is invited to come along. An evening not to be missed!

Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day is April 29, 2012
I found Hannah Gal many years ago when she wrote articles in a photo magazine and I tried to persuade her to give the RPS Southern Region a talk without success. However, she did invite me to join her and many others on the Linked In site and this week she has sent me this interesting idea that we could all try out with a DSLR camera.
So have a look at the her site HERE and see what you think.
