Just like to say a great big thank you to all the people who responded to
me
about their experiences with their printers. I was amazed at both the
quantity
of responses and the genuine desire to be helpful.
It became clear fairly quickly that Epson is the make of choice for most
people,
and also that some are still performing well even though they are a few
years old,
much as mine was.
It has filled me with the confidence to go out and buy Epson again.
Which one was recommended by most users?............. The R3000.
Nobody ever said that this was going to be cheap!!
Having done a bit (no, a lot, of research) there is one piece of advice
that I found out
purely by chance. It may be useful to others contemplating a similar
purchase.
To buy this from Amazon appeared to be over £100 cheaper than other
retailers, but
it didn’t include any ink!!! Assuming that you are going to need ink, too,
it is over £60
cheaper to buy from Epson themselves.
Buyer beware.
