Visit to BDAC 26/11

DIRECTIONS

Post code is SP4 6DZ.
  • At the beehive roundabout just take the third exit when coming from Salisbury. It is in fact signposted to The Winterbournes – not the A338  (Marlborough).
  • At the next roundabout take second exit (A338).
  • At the first set of traffic lights turn right, go for 50 yards and turn left,
  • Then go for 80 yards and
  • Turn right, then go for about 100 yards and
  • Turn right – just after the Red Hawker Hunter jet.
  • Entrance to museum is on the right just past the GoFly office – parking is on the left opposite the entrance.
Hope this makes sense – will await your email next Tuesday – looking forward to welcoming you and your members at 7.30 next Wednesday evening.

Wildlight Photographic Safaris

I am writing on behalf of Wildlight Photographic Safaris.  We are a small, well established travel agency based in New Zealand specialising in photographic safaris and tailor-made tours throughout East and Southern Africa.  I act as the UK representative for the company.

Every year we organise a number of set departure photographic safaris to Botswana, Tanzania and Namibia using hand picked wildlife guides and accommodation and all accompanied by a professional photographic guide.  In addition we can arrange private photographic safaris at a time to suit the client.

Based on years of experience we firmly believe we can offer photographic safaris of the highest quality providing our clients with unparalleled opportunities for capturing great wildlife images, a view supported by the feedback we receive on our trips.  Wildlight Photographic Safaris operate with a simple philosophy: the more time spent in the field, the greater your chances are of capturing an incredible wildlife moment.

I am writing to you today to ask if you would be interested in making your members aware of our products, by passing this e-mail to them, making the attached brochures available at your meetings of perhaps even giving me the opportunity to present to your members on the Wildlight photographic safari experience.

As a keen wildlife photographer myself and a veteran of over 20 safaris to Africa I can personally vouch for the quality of the product.  Indeed it was after joining one of the Wildlight safaris to Botswana as a client I became involved in representing the company!

Some safari brochures are attached and a link to the Wildlight Safaris website is here: http://www.wildlightsafaris.com/

If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me.  I hope to hear from you soon.

Lightroom workshops

I have spaces at my own Lightroom “essentials” Saturday morning workshops on the 8th November and the 13th December. These are being run in one of the teaching rooms at the Rum’s Eg gallery in Romsey.
Our aim will be to introduce photographers to Adobe Lightroom and give them the knowledge that they need to begin working with the programme on a regular basis. The sessions are hands-on and each participant will have the use of one of our laptops or will be welcome to bring their own machine . Usually there are six or less participants giving ample scope for individual instruction.
Cost for the session is £30

Interested photographers can contact me at ; firstscene.training@gmail.com or via our website at http://www.firstsceneimages.co.uk/My thanks for your help

Kind Regards

Alan Price

Studio 53 Exhibitions

The complete list is on their web site HERE

Photography

After the success of my recent pop-up studio days at Studio 53 Space I am holding another one on 15th November 2014....just in time for Christmas & those family gifts!

Slots are 30 minutes long and I promise a minimum of 5 excellent images, these are sent to you within 1 week of the shoot on a CD. This allows you to print/upload/post the photo's in whatever way you like. Thought if you would like advice on printing I am happy to guide you. The images are of professional quality and size, you can blow them up to canvas size with no loss of quality.

The price is £40 inclusive of postage to UK Mainland of CD.

TO BOOK PLEASE PM OR CALL GINA ON 07450294545

While most bookings are for families I happy to use the time to provide product/craft/portrait/business photos - it's your time we can use however you wish.

You can bring as many people as you wish, within reason ;-) though it is tricky to get more than 5/6 people into the studio set up - but we can use the courtyard for group photos.

Studio 53 is on George Street in Salisbury, parking can be tricky but it is only a short walk from the central & waitrose car parks.

Timothy Allen
"Travels around our human planet – the second half"

Back by public demand!  Following last year’s incredibly successful lecture, we are delighted that Tim will return to continue his travels around our human planet.
Tim spends his life travelling the world and recording the lives and customs of people wherever he goes.
His photographs of people and their environments are stunning and his stories of the peoples’ lives and extraordinary efforts that he makes to capture the images are totally absorbing. He has won many awards and it was no surprise to hear that he was the overall winner of Travel Photographer of the Year 2013.

..... a few comments from the public who attended Tim's lecture last year ....
“That was the best lecture I have ever been to in my life” - “I would have stayed until midnight”
