OPEN THE DOOR TO THE PAST...
Didcot Railway Centre

Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th June 2013
Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th June 2013

With grateful thanks to the GreatWestern Society, Neil Cave and I are pleased to announce two weekends of steam atmosphere recreating the era of the early 1950s at Didcot Railway Centre.

Star of the show will be King Edward II in British Railways early blue livery, facing EAST over the weekend of 15th & 16th June and WEST during the weekend of 29th & 30th June. We will have use of a Cornish riviera headboard during both events to add variety to the scenes.

GWR 2-6-0 No.5322 in British Railways black livery will also be in steamover both weekends and will be posed along with the ‘King’ to recreate numerous nostalgic cameos around the site.

There will be an evening andmorning session over both weekends. Both Saturday sessions will run between 18:00 andmidnight and bothmorning sessions will run from04.15 until  09.00.
Cost for each weekend event is £50 (one weekend) and £100 (both weekends).
